Nikki Haley received an endorsement from South Carolina State Representative Nathan Ballentine. You can read it here.
Haley was in Claremont, New Hampshire today. While there, she announced ten county chairs for her New Hampshire campaign as well as her leadership team for the state.
She once again advocated for banning biological males/trans women from competing with biological women in sporting events, an issue that she is most passionate about.
Haley’s stance on aging politicians was supported by Charlemagne Tha God, co-host of radio show The Breakfast Club. He said of Haley:
“Nikki is absolutely right. She ain’t say one damn thing wrong, I’ll stop her when she stops telling the truth. We need term limits. And, you know, if you are going to stay in, you definitely need mental competency tests over the age of whatever. And you got Senator Feinstein, 90 years old, she’s faced multiple health setbacks, didn’t know what she was voting on, you know, Nancy Pelosi is 83, Donald Trump is 77, Biden is 80. It’s like, yeah, we need term limits.”
Haley was joined by Governor of New Hampshire Chris Sununu at a town hall in Merrimack. As a Governor of a New England state, he is generally moderate, and has advocated for massive tax cuts and school vouchers. He is a critic of Donald Trump who believes that a new Republican candidate is needed in order to beat Joe Biden.
In Manchester, Haley appeared at a Moms4Liberty event with co-founder Tiffany Justice. She attacked a school who mandated elementary age children wear masks after a small COVID outbreak. She also criticised the power of teachers and teaching unions over students and their education. At the event, she signed a Parental Rights Pledge, decried federal involvement in schools and males playing sport against women.
It has been reported that Haley had the largest lead over President Biden than any other Republican candidates this cycle. According to the CNN/SSRS poll, Haley had 49% to President Biden’s 43%. The poll also states that Biden would be beaten by all other Republican candidates apart from Vivek Ramaswamy, who would lose by a single point.
That poll also sees poor approval ratings for Biden, as well as a large percentage of Democrats wishing for a new candidate. Nearly half of those polled revealed that his age was a concern- Biden would be 82 come Inauguration Day 2025 and 86 if he completes two terms. Haley is thirty years younger.
Haley attended a meet and greet in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Today was her wedding anniversary. As husband Michael is stationed abroad at the moment, he sent her flowers, delivered by a little girl.
Haley attended a meet and greet in North Charleston, South Carolina.
She criticised a reported plan by the Biden administration that would force illegal migrants to remain in Texas after crossing the border. This comes in response to the plea of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who states that the city is overwhelmed. Its status as a sanctuary city saw southern governors send buses of migrants there. Long queues of migrants have drawn attention, and have apparently overwhelmed NYC’s government. Adams recently announced budget cuts in other areas would be needed in order to house the migrants.
Polling has Haley on 5.8%.
A quiet day for Haley.
A quiet day for Haley.
It was a busy week for Haley, who focused heavily on domestic issues. Education was something that Haley talked a lot about, and is indeed an issue she seems to talk about often. The issue of parental rights is one that has divided many politicians in recent years, especially when one sees the controversy over sex education in school. It is a line that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin used successfully in 2021.
Haley’s seeing slowly growing approval ratings recently, though President Trump still dominates the field. The poll indicating that Haley is best placed to beat Biden is one that her campaign has been at pains to use.
