Campaign Diaries: Nikki Haley (April 17-23)

Monday, April 17

Nikki Haley had a quiet day after the wedding weekend. The topic of campaign finance cropped up as it’s believed her team inflated just how much she actually had

Tuesday, April 18

Haley’s campaign advertised her upcoming trip to New Hampshire.

Wednesday, April 19

Haley talked about the border.

Thursday, April 20

Haley’s focus was on male-to-female transgender women in sports. She celebrated the House of Representatives passing a bill that she said would protect women’s sports and urged people to call their Senator so that it would pass in the Senate. Haley also criticised transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney with the following:

“…you have this man, who dresses up like a girl, and clearly makes a mockery of women… we need to use the power of our voice to call this out.

Friday, April 21

Haley received an email from Newsweek asking about the dress she wore to her daughter’s wedding. The dress looked white on first inspection, something that is a big taboo in weddings. Haley complained about the state of journalism and the silly question – the dress was gold, by the way.

Saturday, April 22

Haley promoted an article from The Iowa Torch that says that she is a standout candidate. She also discussed rising mortgage prices and trans people in sports.

Sunday, April 23

A new NBC national poll has Haley at 3%. Pence is third at 6%, DeSantis second at 31% and Trump first at 46%.

Haley criticised rising energy costs and the Green New Deal.

It was overall a quiet week for Haley as she gears up for New Hampshire. Her mother of the bride dress seemed to get more attention than her campaign. Unfortunately for Haley, her polling wasn’t great.
