Elections Daily, a leading election news and forecasting website, has announced the launch of the first major update to The Election Shuffler tool. Since its launch, The Election Shuffler has given users control to adjust election results and turnout for every county in the country on a state-by-state level. With the new update, The Election Shuffler adds several highly-requested features.

    Historical Election Results

The Election Shuffler has been updated to include election results from the 2016 and 2012 elections for all counties in the United States, as well as district-level results for Alaska. Users can now more easily model and adjust based off the most recent presidential election, or create “what-if” scenarios from the 2012 and 2016 elections.

    Town-level Results for New England

The Election Shuffler has been updated to use town-level results from each New England state for the 2012, 2016, and 2020 presidential elections.

With this new town-level data – in line with New England’s more fundamental unit of government – users now have an even greater level of control in modeling and adjusting election results from one of America’s most interesting regions.

    Visual Update

The Election Shuffler has been given an updated, fresher look and color scheme, making it more accessible and easy-to-use. On top of the revamped look, the white backdrop will make it easier to capture high-quality images of modeled elections.

Additionally, Alaska results have been relabeled to reflect the Alaska House of Representatives Districts they come from.

    Use the Updated Election Shuffler

The new, updated Election Shuffler can be found here. An archived version of the original Election Shuffler can be found here.

“We’re excited to launch this new update to this great tool, and we look forward to making additional improvements in the future,” said Elections Daily editor-in-chief Eric Cunningham. “The Election Shuffler has proven to be one of the most popular features of Elections Daily, and our partnership with Decision Desk HQ has allowed us to make these key changes.”

This is AMAZING! I am having difficulty being able to load files back into the new Election Shuffler. When I upload a file, nothing ends up happening.
