The Nikki Haley campaign released a new campaign advert, highlighting a recent Wall Street Journal piece that said she had a seventeen point lead over incumbent President Joe Biden. You can watch it here.
December 12
Haley got a big campaign boost today from New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, who endorsed her campaign at an event in Manchester. Governor Sununu enjoys consistently high approval ratings and is popular among many in the GOP. This is despite him being governor of a state that is not strongly Republican.
December 13
Governor Sununu wrote an op-ed in the New Hampshire Union Leader in support of Nikki Haley. He also appeared on radio. Haley joined him for breakfast at a New Hampshire diner and at town halls in Newport and Keene.
Haley commented upon Donald Trump’s Truth Social post decrying Sununu’s choice in endorsing her. She tweeted “sounds like we hit a nerve.”

December 14
Haley was in Atkinson with Governor Sununu.
She released an ad, attacking fellow candidate Ron DeSantis. Nachama Soloveichick, communications director for the Haley campaign, had this to say: “Ron DeSantis is the world’s biggest hypocrite and phony. In 2012, he called for raising the retirement age because people are living longer and Social Security is running out of money. In 2013, 2014, and 2015 he voted to raise the retirement age in Congress. Now he’s criticizing Nikki Haley because he’s desperate to save his failing campaign. Voters can smell a phony 100 miles away.”
A poll regarding the Iowa caucus showed Ron DeSantis’s second place lead against Haley shrinking. Donald Trump remains ahead.
December 15
Haley appeared on Fox News, discussing Israel and the next Republican debate, encouraging Trump to attend. She also marked one month until the Iowa caucus.
December 16
A quiet day for Haley.
December 17
Haley appeared on Fox News once again. She was also in Altoona, Iowa. Haley discussed the issue of age and said that incumbent Biden is too old for the job. Polling has Haley at 10.7%.
It was a big week for Nikki Haley, having been endorsed by New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu. She spent most of her time in New Hampshire with a stopover in Iowa at the end of the week. Polling seems to be going her way, but she’s nowhere near Donald Trump’s impressive lead.
