Nikki Haley was in Indian Land, in her home of South Carolina for a town hall. Her team says that 1,000 people attended and that it was standing room only.

Haley once again attacked rival candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for his views on Israel.
She condemned the Biden’s administration stance on China once again, this time singling out Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, who headed over there:
“The time for polite talk is over. It’s time to demand action from China. Stop killing Americans with fentanyl. Stop targeting American companies. Stop hacking the U.S. government. Stop stealing American innovations to build up the Chinese military. Stop buying our farmland and stealing our seed technology.
It’s also time for America to take decisive action to show China we’re serious. Ban TikTok. Ban all U.S. investment in Chinese companies that help the Chinese military. End normal trade relations until China stops fueling our fentanyl crisis. And stop sending administration officials to China unless they have the guts to stand up for America and hold Beijing accountable.”
She also criticised a potential Kamala Harris presidency.
August 30
Haley cancelled a South Carolina event due to the hurricane.
She criticised Biden for not doing anything about the tragic death of 13 US soldiers after a bombing at Kabul Airport two years ago.
August 31
Haley released a statement criticising Ramaswamy regarding his views for Iran:
“We will not stop Israel from defending itself to the fullest capacity. And we remain supportive of Israel, because they are our friend. I think it’s really important that the US not put our own men and women on the line in a war with Iran, when in fact, there’s no reason for us to be in that kind of war now, and I don’t think that’s good for the United States, and I don’t think that’s good for Israel. But what we do need to do is to make sure that Israel is strong so that Iran isn’t emboldened.”
“Vivek must have missed that the fanatical terrorist regime in Iran regularly calls for ‘Death to America. If he doesn’t see a nuclear Iran as a threat to American security, then he should take his place beside AOC and the Squad and get nowhere near the White House.”

Haley’s “Comrade of the Week” was Gina Raimondo, Commerce Secretary, for the reasons above.

Haley launched her Young Americans for Nikki and Students for Haley. It started at Clemson University, Haley’s alma mater.
Polling has Haley at 5.9%, a slight increase over the last few weeks. Trump remains at over 50%. DeSantis’s ratings have fallen.

It wasn’t a bad week for Haley, who enjoyed a post-debate bounce. Her polling is steadily rising and her event in South Carolina seemed to attract a decent turnout. Whilst Trump remains the highest polled nominee, there’s still plenty of time for Haley to catch up. The question is: will she?
