The 2022 Nevada Assembly Elections: A Review

During the midterm election of 2022, Republicans enjoyed a small advantage in the popular vote nationwide as several state elections took place. In the case of state legislative elections, thousands of elections took place in districts across the United States, with varying degrees of competitiveness. One state that produced a disparate outcome was Nevada, where Republicans won the popular vote in the Assembly elections but failed to carry most of the districts due to the Democratic gerrymander installed after the latest round of redistricting. The Nevada Democratic Party would pick up two seats in an election that saw Nevada Republicans win the Assembly vote by a shocking margin. This article will look at the districts decided by 10.00% or less.
