Nikki Haley talked about fixing the Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system. She said that Congress should be put on a VA health plan and then we’d see the government fix the “broken system.”

Haley returned to New Hampshire for several days of events. She started with a town hall in North Conway.
Haley criticised Representative Cori Bush’s call for reparations. Reparations are an issue that is steadily gaining airwave time in the United States. Proponents argue that African-Americans who are descended from slavery are owed money due to the mistreatment of their ancestors. Proponents of reparations state that African-Americans have been historically discriminated against in housing, education, employment, the judicial system and healthcare. They argue that this historic injustice has led to a huge wealth divide between whites and African-Americans.
Those who disagree state that the descendants of slave-holders are innocent of their ancestors’ crimes. Not every white person is descended from slave owners, nor is every African-American a descendent of slaves. Polling shows that whilst African-Americans back reparations by a large majority, no other ethnic group does. The majority of those who support reparations say it should be down to the federal government.
Haley said the following about China and Biden:
“Joe Biden is falling over himself to make nice with China, and Xi Jinping is laughing at us. We should believe our enemies when they tell us who they are. China tells us exactly who it is every time it lies about Covid, spies on us, hacks our computers, steals our data, infiltrates our universities, threatens our allies, and kills its own people. Communist China is our enemy, and it will continue to take advantage of U.S. weakness until our leaders take their heads out of the sand.”
She received an endorsement from Tom Davis, a member of the South Carolina Senate.

Haley did a meet and greet in Lincoln and a town hall in Lancaster.
RealClearPolitics gave her an average of 4% in the polling in the Iowa Republican Caucus.
July 8
Haley finished off her New Hampshire swing with a town hall in Hanover and a summer house party in Henniker.
July 9
Haley was criticising China once again, also accusing Biden of helping them ‘get ahead.’
She received an endorsement from Iowa State Senator Chris Cournoyer.
Her polling was 3.9%.
China was Nikki Haley’s great enemy this week. With her background as a former Ambassador to the United Nations, it’s no wonder that Haley is pushing her foreign policy credentials. With the war in Ukraine pushing on, North Korea forever in the background, and Taiwan feeling threatened by Beijing, it’s essential that any presidential candidate shows that they are aware of international problems.
